CONSIDERING A LINEAR SHOWER GRATE?
Here are just some of the questions worth asking when deciding on a linear grate:
Will it perform EFFICIENTLY?
Stripgrates clear waterway i.e. the total space availble for water to drain away, when it is installed according to the installation guide is greater than that required by UPC standards.
Does it look good?
Shower drains should be functional and its design should have minimal impact on the bathroom aesthetics.
Has it been tested to meet the necessary standards and have plumbing authority approval?
The UPC trademark is the guarantee that a linear grate has passed the tests and is licensed.
Is it readilly available?
Stripgrate stock is held in Tennessee by Red Stag Fulfillment and shipped FedEX promptly on order.
Are special adhesives or techniques needed by the installer?
A suitably qualified tradesperson can easily follow the assembly and installation instructions, and will be familiar with the adhesive supplied in the kit.
Has waterproofing been considered in the design?
Waterproofing is a critical part of showers and linear drains especially, which is why the stripgrate and the TILEgap incorporate a flange on the collection channel to make waterproofing better.
Will it be easy to clean?
The grate lifts out and because its thick and has smooth rounded edges it doesn't easily catch hair and debris.
